Holiday Essentials

Hi Guys!

I know I’m dragging this whole “I’ve been on holiday” vibe out now, but honestly, I spend most of my days wishing I was back on my sunbed with a cocktail in hand… hey ho, another year of working and saving! I thought since we’re hitting peak holiday season, that it would be useful to show you guys some of the products that I think are an absolute must when going away!

Aussie Gold SPF 30 with Instant Bronzer Gel
My mom has sworn by this sun cream for so long, and I finally bought some myself this year, as I am finally beginning to tan! It smells incredible, it isn’t greasy and it doesn’t stain clothes. It definitely helps you to achieve a lovely, golden glow, even on the fairest of people like me.

Aloe Vera Gel/Aftersun
Now, it’s not something that I am proud of, but I do regularly burn/go an iffy shade of red. This year, it was whilst quad biking, not even sunbathing. Anyway, Aloe Vera gel is easily the most popular health/cosmetic product on the island of Lanzarote, it is literally in every shop you enter. I had after sun with me, but it wasn’t really doing the trick, and I have used Pure Aloe in the past. Honestly, if you’re fair, or even just want to retain your tan for longer, I would highly recommend using a product similar to this. It smells lovely and fresh, however they can be a little bit sticky and I wouldn’t recommend trying to get dressed for a good half an hour after application. Honestly, this sort of product is to thank for my tan this year.

A Hydrating Shampoo and Conditioner
I am a proper water baby, even at 21. So, as a semi unnatural blonde, my hair suffers in the water and sunlight. This is why I always take a deep hydrating shampoo and conditioner away with me. My favourite two at the moment are Aussie Miracle Moist or Garnier Ultimate Blends Coconut Water . Both of these products work really well on my hair, and prevent it from looking and feeling like straw!

Packing Cubes

A friend of mine told me about these a couple of years back, and I honestly think I would be lost without mine now! They make packing and unpacking so easy! I tend to co-ordinate what is in each pouch, as they are various sizes. I have ones that are small enough to handle my hair products and face products, right up to ones that I use to pack Short and t-shirt/vest combinations, even playsuits end up in them. It honestly makes life so much easier!

Birkenstocks – Arizona
I’m virtually certain I have featured these on the blog before, but honestly they are the comfiest shoes I have ever owned. I know that Birkenstocks are a little bit pricey in comparison to other shoes on the market, but they are completely worth the money. Think of them as an investment.  These are quite a bold shoe, but you can get them in far less out there colours. They do feel rather tough at first, but they do mould to the shape of your foot eventually, which is what makes them so flipping comfortable!

I’ve included links to everything I can or similar products, so I hope you’ve found this useful!

What are your holiday essentials?

June Favourites!

Hi guys!

This is my first post since being back in the UK and having over-hauled my blog, again. I hope you guys are liking the new look! Anyway, lets get into the products I have been loving this month!

The Body Shop Face Mists:

I had seen so much about these products that I actually attempted to order them roughly the end of May, only to receive an email from The Body Shop to tell me they had cancelled my order due to lack of stock! Then I didn’t have chance to get to a Body Shop store before my holiday, so I tried a store in Lanzarote with no success. I finally managed to track them down during a shopping spree over my first weekend back in the country. Honestly, due to the heat, these have been miniature life savers, all for their own different reasons. When I purchased these in store, they were on a 3 for 2 offer, so the three only cost me £12!

Cooling Coconut

During the heat, my skin can become incredibly red and sore. I’ve been applying this spray twice a day, when I first get up and before I go to bed. It really does instantly take the redness out of my skin, and also a fair amount of the heat. I instantly fell in love with this product before I had even used it purely based on the coconut smell! Honestly, it is such a lovely product to use on your skin.

Rose Dewy Glow

So, I’m actually using all three of these products at different points during my make up process of a morning. Rose Dewy gets spritzed across my cheek bones once my foundation has settled, sometimes in place of or on top of my Barry M Liquid Highlighter Drops. Honestly, it just gives you such a gentle, summery glow that is perfect for a warm day at work.

Mint Mattifying

Mint is the last product to join the party. Once all of my make up is on, I leave my mascara to dry for 5-10 minutes, and then give my whole face a spritz with this one. I love this one as I use a fairly full coverage foundation that wears all day, but I do often get a shine on my forehead and chin. This is wonderful! It instantly almost sets your foundation, and is preventing my mid-afternoon shine from appearing even in this crazy heat we are currently experiencing in the UK!

Kurt Geiger Saff London Tote Bag and Purse:

I AM OBSESSED! Yes, the capitals were necessary. I first spotted this bag long before I went on holiday, however at it’s full price, I couldn’t bring myself to buy it, because I have a thing for matching purses as well and the combination was one that I just could not afford at the time. However, we went to the Touchwood Store the weekend after our holiday, and I spotted that the purse had been reduced to £40! But I couldn’t see the handbag. Next thing I know, I spot my boyfriend, with the handbag, wondering towards the till! The handbag was reduced to £99. These may seem like a high end spend, but I work hard for what I buy, and this is a handbag that will be used very regularly as it is so me! It is already my everyday handbag and purse!

UTAN & Tone Coconut Tanning Water:
I have been meaning to invest in this product for a while, as I have seen such good reviews of it online. I struggle to tan naturally, and then I just can’t cope with fake tan as I always end up streaky! I actually managed to tan a fair bit, for me, whilst away this year, so I have bought this to build on my natural base tan, just to keep a summery, golden glow. The smell of this is incredible! It has a lovely coconut smell, and also contains aloe essence. You can feel it cooling your skin within minutes of applying. I have used this on my face, chest and arms and it is super easy to apply. I did have a slight patch on my shoulder where I had peeled but a bit of baby oil and a skin scrubbing brush did the trick! I would recommend this product to anyone!!

Aussie Miracle Moist Shampoo and Conditioner:

I bought a travel size version of the conditioner to take away with me, because my hair struggles with the heat, due to being naturally curly/wavy. I honestly think these products are a necessity for my hair, because I have, in the past, let it get to the point where I just can’t do anything with it! These products stop my hair from feeling brittle and becoming fluffy. I came back with seriously fluffy hair going on, so this was a necessary purchase to get my hair back under control. After a week back in England, my curls are back and safe!

Lush Dream Cream:

I bought this when we got back as I was suffering with some sun burn. I had been using pure aloe vera lotion whilst away but was fed up of the stickiness of it by the time we got back. I can never praise Lush staff enough, we went in and I explained my issue and the staff could not help enough. They gave really good advice and asked really detailed questions in order to advise the best product. I have never used this before, but honestly I am now a little bit obsessed! I popped it in the fridge and honestly I have never known a product work so well on the after product of sun burn! I love it just as an everyday moisturiser as well!

March Review!

Hi guys!

Apologies for the awful lack of posting this month, it’s been a strange one! However, I have discovered some truly amazing products this month, not just necessarily beauty products!

Essential Oil Diffuser:

So I was talking to a friend last month about the fact that I am struggling to sleep a lot. I had tried a few things like lavender pillow spray, however none of it seems to work. I was told that these things work magic, and to be honest, I wholeheartedly agree! I bought my one from Avon on a whim, for £15 – but then I found a much better, brighter one on Amazon. I love the fact that it also has a mood light built in! I ordered a bottle of lavender essential oil from Amazon which was only £3! Honestly, this has made the world of difference to my sleep!
This is the link to the one I bought from amazon:

The one below is my one;

Elegant Touch Nails:

I bought these as a matter of desperation because I needed a quick fix before going out! I ran into Boots and bought these for £7.46. This shade is Chrome 2.0 Violet Vixen. I am obsessed! They are super easy to apply, and all you need to do is file the very tip of them down as they are a little bit rough. These are the most gorgeous shape and shade and these are supposed to last 10 days so I will update when I see how long they last!

Marble Handled Make Up Brushes:

These were actually bought at the very end of last year, but I had completely forgotten about them. However, I needed a new brush for a new product the other day, so I pulled one of these out. They are completely synthetic, but they do not feel horrid, they are super soft on your skin and they transfer product really easily. They’re £8 for the set of 10 with the travel bag.

Benefit Bad Gal Bang Mascara:

I first heard about this product prior to its launch due to a fabulous vlog from Jamie Genevieve. Then I received a sample of it in the March Birchbox. I have honestly never been so obsessed with a mascara! I don’t have particularly short lashes and never wear false lashes, but this gives you such long, individual eyelashes, it is incredible! I am fully intending to buy the full size product!

These are just a few of the things I am loving at the moment, however I am on somewhat of a spending ban at the moment in an attempt to save money!

December Lush Haul

Hi guys!

I know I’ve been a bit lost recently, but I’m working on that. I have been dealing with a lot, but that is a different story for a different post.

Anyhow! I was off work today and received a parcel that I have been super excited for. A Lush delivery! I used to be a bit hit and miss when it came to making Lush purchases, but then I received some incredible pieces for my birthday and I’ve placed atleast one order every month. So, I thought this month would be a good time to show you what I had purchased this time around. I’ll be honest though, my purchases are somewhat chaotic because I do them online, as the nearest store to me is in the City Centre and I am just not cut out for that stress very often.

Ickle Baby Bot Bath Bomb

I’ve never tried this little cutie before, but he was super cheap and I thought that was more than enough reason to try him! He smells incredibly fresh and floral, but in a rather masculine way. I do love how cute they make some of these bath bombs, but then again I have problems when it come’s to usingthem because of their cuteness (I haven’t been able to use my butter bear yet either). He’s advertised as a “sleep time soother” and I can imagine why!
Price:£1.95

Christmas Sweater Bath Bomb

A red bath bomb with white reindeers patterns on the top

Now, the phrase “I wish I could bottle it (bath bomb it) and sell it” definitely applies here. This is all the spicy smells of Christmas. Honestly, I’m runninng out of time to use these incredible Christmas products before the big event! I’ve read in other reviews that it is recommended as a muscle soother, which may be beneficial at the moment as I’m not well.
Price: £4.50

Twilight Bath Bomb

web_twilight_bath_bomb_commerce_ayr_2017

Now, I’ll admit, there’s a theme occuring here. I have ordered a lot of products that are aimed at muscle/mind relaxing as I’m struggling to sleep and always aching/tired. This is another bath bomb aimed at improving sleep and is infused with lavender. I’m super excited to try this and see if it does improve my sleep as lavender is one of my favourites.
Price: £3.95

Brightside Bubble Bar

This is a product that I was first gifted for my birthday, and I fell in love instanly. I love the bubble bars because they last that bit longer. Brightside turns the water a fabulous orange and leaves your skin super soft due to the orange oil in it. Considering it is the depth of winter, I adore the smell of this as it makes me think of the summer and sunshine and all the happiness that comes with the summer season.
Price: £4.95

Christmas Eve Bubble Bar

christmas-eve-bubble-bar

Now, this intrigued me a lot. I loved the pattern and the name of the product (have you noticed yet that I love Christmas?). Anyway, I had read incredible reviews about this bar, so went for it. I won’t lie, it’s not particularly festive in regards to it’s scent, but the name of the product totally matches the smell. It’s another relax/sleep bar, which makes way more sense, and honestly I’m a little bit in love with it.
Price:£3.95

Snow Fairy Shower Gel

snow-fairy-naked-shower-gel

And finally, this little product, I would say, is my favourite ever Lush product. . It is such a sweet smelling product, but not over bearing. I use it all over my body and the scent lingers for such a long time. This is also the naked shower gel, which is like a compressed shower gel and more like a super bubbly soap. So, this is a 10/10 product for me. It may seem expensive, but it lasts forever!
Price:£8.95

I honestly loved this little parcel and I hope you’ve enjoyed my reviews.

I hope I will be posting sooner rather than later this time

What I bought in Orlando

Hey guys!

I would like to start by saying I am so sorry for it taking so freaking long to post this! I have been in such a whirlwind for the past month that I have really lost my way with the blog. But I’m back!

Anyway, I save all year so that I can splurge when I’m in Orlando, and I did not let myself down this year. Of course, there was the typical mugs and key rings, food and trinkets. Let’s have a look at some of the stuff I bought!

Levi Jeans:

I love these Denizen jeans because they are “curvy cut” and to be honest, these are exactly what I need (trousers that fit my hips/thighs are always too big on my waist). I have these in this pale blue and black, but already have them in two other shades of blue as well as a dark blue bootleg. These are purchased from Target and were $27 a pair, which is incredible compared to buying them over here. I don’t even understand how it works!

Daisy by Marc Jacobs:

I’ve always been intrigued by this perfume, mainly because of the bottle, but have never actually bought it. I was struggling to find a new perfume so asked for a sample. I always buy a new perfume whilst I’m on holiday because then the scent reminds me of the holiday. Anyway! I think I picked this up for about $48 which I thought was brilliant. I adore the flowery bottle lid and think it is a perfect representation of the scent. It’s such a light and floral scent which is why I loved it so much for my holiday, it isn’t too heavy for daytime wear. I would recommend this perfure to anyone who is after a feminine, fun scent.
img_20171024_2134146011304524145.jpg

Flowerbomb by Victor and Rolf

So, I actually got this because Daisy was on offer. I had seen Helen Anderson raving about this perfume and was super curious about it. This was the first time I had actually smelled it and it was incredible! It’s definitely a new favourite, however it’s more of a special occasion perfume as it is a little bit heavier than Daisy but I still adore it!
img_20171024_213409275445243928.jpg

Star Wars Airbounce Adidas:

Well, these were the deal of the century. My boyfriend and I were after new trainers, which resulted in us getting 3 pairs for $130! One pair of his alone should have been $100! Anyway, these were such a lucky find! They are actually Teen trainers, but I can fit into a 6.5 (UK) size, so these were a done deal! I adore them! They are the most awesome print and they are super comfy. They’re my new gym trainers and were so comfy for walking around the parks, these are definitely one of my favourite pairs of trainers, ever!

Pumas:

I have had Puma Suedes since I was about 15, so they are a pretty essential staple for me. They’re comfy, smarter than a standard trainer and so easy to wear. I live in mine to be honest, I even wear them to work quite regularly! These were $43 which is a pretty significant saving on what I have seen them for over here. I’ve been going to America for that many years that I honestly cannot bring myself to buy trainers of any sort in the UK anymore because of the price difference.

Guess Handbag and Purse:

Handbags are a down fall of mine. I genuinely think I have a shopping issue, I had bought this set within two days of being in Orlando! This is a super sensible bag for me, but I thought it was the perfect size for everyday and work use. I really adore this and got the set for $60 which I thought was a total bargain! This is the third Guess handbag I own…
img_20171024_213551987287174151.jpg

There are some other things that were purchased, but I’m wanting to save those for another exciting post… I wonder what that could be!

Anyway, I hope you guys enjoyed seeing just a small chunk of what I bought on holiday!

Lanzarote Look Book

Hi guys!

So normally I only go on one holiday a year, most often than not Florida, so I don’t have a very “dressy” holiday wardrobe. This meant I had to do a lot of shopping for my Lanzarote holiday at the end of June. If you follow me on instagram then you have probably already seen most of these outfits, but I thought it would be cool to put together a look book of these outfits.
Outfit 1:

So this cute little playsuit is so adorable and super comfy! I picked it up from Matalan for £12 and it was perfect for popping into the restaurant for lunch. It has a lace up detail at the back, but I didn’t take a photo of it as I altered it because of the size of my chest (it wasn’t suitable). Honestly, such a comfy, simple yet stylish outfit, and so easy to wear.
Playsuit: Matalan (£12)
Sunglasses: Primark (£3)

Outfit 2:

I have this dress in two colours, red and black, I wore the black one a lot last summer, but never felt brave enough to wear the red, as it makes my already pastey self look even more pale. But I loved it once I finally got it on, and due to it being a “Peasant” dress, it’s so light and airy. I really love this style as I found it really flattering and comfortable – it’s also nice to have something a little bit more covered up without being too warm, as the dress is cotton. Also, these shoes were a go to on holiday. They have a super chunky platform, which takes all the height out of them, but they’re super light and flexible making them perfect evening shoes for our evening meals and entertainment.
Sunglasses: Primark (£3)
Choker: H&M (£7)
Dress: Asda (£12)
Shoes: Asda (£18)

Outfit 3:

Now, I spotted this and fell in love with it instantly. However, I’m planning on getting it altered after having worn it for an afternoon. Notice the detailed cut of the shorts at the front? It can be a little chaotic, especially for someone with thick thighs like myself, as the one half of the shorts dissapears up my thigh whilst walking or moving. Apart from that, this is super comfy but rather thin, so you have to wear a bandaue bra underneath. Apart from that, it’s a super comfy outfit and I can’t wait to wear it again once it’s been altered.
Choker: H&M (£7)
Playsuit: Tesco (£18)

Outfit 4:

IMG_20170629_140956167

This was, unfortunately, my travelling home outfit. Not the best idea when you’re landing back at 12am into the British rain, but hey ho. This is made up of some items that I’ve had a while and somethings that were brand new. All in all it was a super comfy outfit for travelling. The Tshirt is actually a dress but is way too thin to be worn as a dress. Also, my Birkenstocks. I don’t have the standard, cork soled ones, these are all rubber. These are the comfiest flipflops I have ever owned! We walked 7 miles the one day into Playa Blanca and my feet were not sore, at all! Honestly, worth every penny!  I actually have a new pair, identical, to take to Florida with me in September!
Choker: H&M (£7)
T-Shirt/Dress: Primark (£10 I think – was bought last year)
Shorts: Matalan (£11)
Kimono: Target ($20 I think – this was purchased in Florida two years ago)
Shoes: Birkenstocks (£25-30) from Amazon

Outfit 5:

IMG_20170627_184542_541

This dress felt incredible! It was such a cheap little purchase, that I actually forgot I had in my wardrobe – I found it whilst looking for the black version of the red dress above. It’s super stretchy cotton, in a straight line design, which is great for Lanzarote as it’s an incredibly windy island, especially at night. As you can probably imagine, there were a few near misses with outfits and the wind! Anyway, I am a little obsessed with navy at the moment, it’s like my summer version of black, and it was paired with an adorable pair of yellow, flower sandals from Primark.
Choker: The same H&M one
Dress: Asda (£12)

Outfit 6:

IMG_20170625_230354_792

This had to be an absolute favourite! My qote of the day whilst wearing this was “I’m a gothic fairy princess!” because the mesh actually twirls like a princess skirt! It was super cheap, and the vest top came with it, but it’s super good quality and fits really nicely. I love the fact that it has a sligght empire line to it in order to allow it to twirl!
Sunglasses: Primark (£3)
Top: Asda (£14)
Shorts: Matalan (£11)

I hope you guys like some of these outfits and items. Let me know what you think!

Have fun! xo

May Faves!

Hi guys!

I know I’ve been quiet this month but Uni is now over and I am determined to be here once/twice a week now. I thought I’d start with a bang and do a run down of my May Faves!

NYX Lingerie “Bustier”

If you’ve been following me then you’ll have seen me rave about NYX liquid suedes in the past. I thought I’d mix it up this time and try something different so I bought a NYX Lingerie instead. I actually think it sits a lot better than the suede in my opinion and isn’t as heavy. I love these products as an every day lippy. Honestly, for the price they are incredible products and I would recommend them to anyone!

Soap and Glory “The Mighty Contourer”

Oh my goodness! I had seen this product online a while back as a replacement for my Model Co. Contour kit because it’s a tad pricey and doesn’t last very long. However, this little beauty is a gem! It’s £10 from Boots and the colours are incredible! It’s super pigmented and easy to apply. I did have to clean the inside prior to photos because as you can tell it’s been used a lot already. Honestly, it’s a brilliant little investment. Well done soap and glory!

Girlz Only Dry Shampoo “From Dusk Till Dawn”

This was a panic buy as we were going out on Thursday and I didn’t have time to wash my hair so I grabbed it from Tesco. It claims to give you extra bounce and boost and as you can see in the photo below, it definitely works! It was like £1.99 and totally worth purchasing as a refresh!

I know there’s only a few products this month but that’s because I’ve been saving a lot and studying a lot so haven’t done much shopping!

Thanks for sticking with me!

Xo

February Faves

Hi guys!

So, I decided last month that I was going to aim to do a “faves” post every month, and then I kinda missed the end of January due to lots of stress and excitement. However, I’m back, with some really cool items to feature. So, let’s get on with it!

Missguided Denim Pinafore Dress – £16

I. Am. Obsessed.

I had a dungaree dress before, it was black, always smelt of dye and was super short. I felt like I was missing out on the trend because I really don’t like it/ feel comfortable in it. That all changed when I spotted this little beauty in the Missguided sale. It’s a lovely fit, it zips up at the back so that you don’t have to fight with the little front buckles and is made of super comfy, moveable denim. It’s a much better length, even though I’m not particularly tall I get incredibly paranoid about the length of dresses for some reason. Anyway, this is definitely a favorite within my wardrobe at the moment!

(Paired with a cold shoulder, crop top from New Look purchased last winter)

Topshop Blue Satin Ruffle Jumper

I was so unsure of this jumper. My boyfriend and I had been shopping and I had spotted it in store and fell in love instantly, but had to order it online as they hadn’t got my size. It was in the sale for £20 which is a bit of a splurge for me, however it’s also the first time I’ve ever purchased from Topshop. I’m really impressed and it’s super true to size, if not a little roomie. The ruffles are satin and so entertaining to wear. Honestly, this jumper is so happy and I’m super impressed with Topshop.

(Jeans from New Look and boots that I’ve had forever)

Crazy  Colour Lavender

So I decided to experiment with my hair colour, again. This was the second time I’ve used Crazy Colour and I must say I’m super impressed. It’s not particularly easy to get hold of locally to me so I have to order it from Blue Banana. It’s less than £4 per bottle and you easily get 3-4 applications out of each bottle. It’s not quite as durable as the pink but that’s most likely because there’s not as much bleach in the ends of my hair and it’s a much more subtle colour than the pink. Honestly, I’d love this colour all over with a grey undertone but that’s a massive transition from my current colour. All-in-all I love this brand of hair dye.

Nailene False Nails

I’ve been unable to get my nails done professionally recently, and I’ve never been a massive fan of adhesive nails, however these are a winner. The adhesive isn’t too harsh, they’re lovely and firm yet natural looking. I got the full set, including 100 nails, adhesive and file for £8ish from Boots. I really adore this, and they’re so easy to paint and remove so it makes them far easier to use than even painting my own nails (I hate removing varnish). I’ve used them maybe four times consecutively at the moment, and I’m loving the colour I currently have on them – I’m on a bit of a purple hype at the moment.

(Nail varnish is Avon – Luxury Lavender)

So, these are my favourites! What are you guys loving at the moment?

Leave me a comment, I’d love to know!

xo

What I’ve been buying..

Hi guys!

So over the past week or so I’ve really been treating myself, not to any massive purchases, just little things here and there. So I thought I’d do a big haul/review post. All of these products have been bought within the last two weeks, yes some of the items are sale purchases but I’m virtually certain they’re all still available. Here we go!

Missguided:

Left to right:

  • “spliced” black t-shirt: £7.50 (Sale)
  • Gold Foil Guns ‘n’ Roses T-Shirt:: £18
  • Grey Cross Front Jumper – I’ve searched my emails and the website high and low and can’t find how much I paid, Sorry!

I have a shopping addiction, I’ll admit. I’ve seen a lot of these “spliced” tee’s around in the run up to winter but couldn’t find one that I was mad on, however there was something different about this. Based on Missguided’s size guide I bought a large, which was a bonus.I expect it to come up small, however this is not the case. It’s lovely and roomie and rather long lined so it’s easy to wear with a pair of black jeans and boots. I adore this Guns’n’Roses top! I’ve started wearing a lot more of my band tshirts again recently, however I’d turned my G’n’R top into a sleep shirt so a new one was needed. This one is a bit edgier than most and has a much more feminine shape than most. Finally, the jumper. I am in love with this! However, I wore it out the other night and it’s rather low cut. I have a rather large bust and it even falls low on me – but I definitely am in love with this jumper, it’s incredibly soft and has washed really well!

Boots:

Left to Right:

  • Soap and Glory “Pink Pamper” Gift Set – Think I got this for £9 in the sale – I’m assuming these are available pretty widely throughout the year
  • Barry M Bold Bronze Water Proof Eyeliner
  • Barry M Dazzle Dust – Copper
  • Bleach London Everyday Dry Shampoo

I bought the pamper kit because I got very few bath products for Christmas and who really needs an excuse to buy Soap and Glory products? They’re all minatures which I love because if I’m honest I’m not a massive fan of the full size bottles because of the pump function on them. The two Barry M products were purchased because my mom and I are going to a David Bowie event later in the month and I just want all the glitter for that night! I’ll probably experiment before hand and post a make up look of it all. Finally, Bleach London dry shampoo. If you’ve read my “faves” posts in the past then you’ll know I love Not Your Mothers dry shampoo – however I can’t buy it in the UK. This product is definitely a close second to tide me over when I run out!

George by Asda:

wp-image-395520797jpg.jpg

I spotted this dress the other moment and needed it. The photo doesn’t do it justice I promise, but I will probably do a “how to style” post, or at least post it on my instagram when I finally wear it. I love the 60s vibe that it has, and it’s also a little bit longer, which is a rarity nowadays. I also love the fabric, it’s very soft and stretchy so it shows my figure and holds its shape really well.

I hope you’ve enjoyed seeing what I’ve been buying!

January Sales Haul/ Part of “What I Got For Christmas”

Hi guys!

I was talking to a friend this morning and I suddenly realised how many items of clothing I’ve gained over Christmas. So, I thought why not do a haul/ What I Got For Christmas.
I fully intended to do a whole WiGFC but then I unboxed stuff on Boxing Day and messed it up. So here we go!

George by Asda:

Top Left to Right;

  • This gorgeous Pinkish top is a cold shoulder, high necked top with lovely gold detailing around the neck. It’s a tad clingy but that’s due to the fabric
  • I love Jumpsuits so I was so happy to receive this stunning black one for Christmas – it fits like a dream and I can’t wait to wear it out
  • My Mom had a coat similar to this one last year and I adore it – so I happened to find one that I loved! It’s more like a very thin coat/oversized cardigan, absolutely perfect for throwing on in a hurry.
  • Crimson bomber jacket – I’ve been after a jacket like this for so long! I struggle to find comfortable coats because I drive so much and they can be super restrictive. This little stunner is faux fur lined and so it is perfect for cold car journeys.
  • Black Jeans; These were a little treat that I received yesterday. They are stunning! They’re a black, ankle grazer skinny, however they have the most gorgeous lace up detail around the ankles – so happy with these.
  • Blue Floral Jeans: I am so in love with these jeans – I’d say these are one of my two favourite items from over Christmas. I was getting a bit bored of Skinnies so these are a perfect alternative – The detailing gives them a bit more edge and so they feel like I’ve made a bit more effort, when really I’m wearing a pair of jeans and a baggy jumper.

NewLook

Left to right:

  • Cameo Rose Pink Jumper: I’ve seen a few of these sort of jumpers, oversized with the “pulled” pattern on it. However, I became obsessed with this colour when I saw a similar jumper from ASOS being worn by Helen Anderson. I found this one in New Look and it has a little more structure than the ASOS one so it is better for my body shape. With that in mind, I may still buy the ASOS one. However, this jumper is the other favourite item that I’ve gained
  • Rose Gold Lace Crop Top: I love tops like this because they make an outfit look so much more glamorous. It’s a lovely comfy top and fits super well
  • Black Cross Over Crop Top: This is very much the same as the Rose Gold however it has a little more flare to the bottom which is nice for a crop top
  • Check Crop Top: This was one that I wasn’t sure about when I first spotted it. The photo doesn’t really show how baggy the sleeves are, however that is a total blessing with this item. It makes you feel like a 70s Glam Princess. I love it!

River Island:

I love River Island but I rarely actually buy from there. I find them quite pricey, or maybe that’s because I’m a student living on a budget. I fell in love with this, the yellow is a fair bit brighter than it looks in the photo. I also adore the cross over back – you’ve probably guessed by now as it’s not the only item like this. It was also a tidy little bargain as I picked it up in the sale for £10!

Shoes:

Left – Chelsea Boots:

These were a Christmas present from George by Asda – Honestly, I’ve had a few pairs of Chelsea boots – and these are the comfiest! They have comfort soles in them so they’re a little bit springy and they also have great grip as they prevented me from falling on ice last night! All in all they’re a winner, and I adore brown boots!

Right: Dr. Martens Will Desert’s

These are actually from the Men’s department of Schuh. I was given money by my grandparents for Christmas in order to buy something I really wanted. So I did. A new pair of Docs. These are honestly so comfy! I paid £69 for them and they’re possibly my favourite pair of DM’s I’ve ever owned. (I’m now on my 5th pair!)

I’m aware my photos aren’t the best, but I wanted to get this post written as I’m loving the items I’ve purchased/been gifted.

Have fun guys! xo
